AIR Sports Network, London and the South East’s premier fitness provider has now launched in Suffolk.
The new programme is for Adult Treatment Naive clients aged 18+ and for the hardest to reach individuals effected by substance and alcohol misuse or involved with criminal justice services.
Colm Whitty, AIR Sports Network Director said ”this is another excellent example of how working with specialist services such as Turning Point allows the delivery of creative, engaging and effective local services. Sport is a proven and effective way of engaging with individuals traditionally excluded from services and we are delighted to continue our highly successful partnership with Turning Point. We look forward to delivering a full range of sports and development services within the area and seeing individuals move into substance support and into positive destinations.”
This is a major 5 year HUB based sports and fitness activity project which aims to identify and engage hard to reach treatment naive individuals in a programme of group and one to one support. Services on offer include sports sessions, boxercise, multi-level fitness and wellbeing sessions and football coaching. Individuals will also be able to use the full range of local fitness classes on offer from our long term partner Fitness First. Individuals will also have access to AIR Sports Network innovative education and mentoring programmes as well as its highly successful one to one wrap around support service. Initially the programme will work in and around Ipswich but as it develops it will progress to outlying areas of need across Suffolk.
