“When I joined AIR Sports Network Barnet I was smoking cannabis a lot. I used to smoke it because I thought it was helping with my depression and the stress I was having following the treatment I was then receiving from my ex partner. My confidence level was so low, I was unfit, mentally I was feeling very bad. I wasn’t motivated enough to do anything.
Eventually I was referred by my doctor to the YMCA to receive physiotherapy for an injury I had. While there I met AIR Sports Network. The YMCA therapy helped me a lot, but AIR Sports Network took my recovery to another level, it completely changed my outlook and my way of thinking, it helped me change the way I acted round others, changed the way I dealt with day-to-day life! My confidence was raised very quickly.
AIR Sports Network helped me to be physically and mentally strong, always encouraging and saying positive things! When I missed sessions due to meetings my stress started to kick back and I could feel the pain in my back and my neck. AIR Sports Network were there encouraging and motivating me. They helped me obtain a healthier lifestyle that was consistent. When the guys were around me I felt alive, I didn’t feel like smoking, I felt very motivated and happy. The more I trained and got fitter the more it became a lifestyle.
The AIR Sports Network team were great. They were friendly, they put on great sessions, they really are good at what they do; they helped me so much. The way they talked to us and the care they showed me was priceless.
I have done fitness programmes in the past and can tell if an instructor is good or not or really cares about you (me). The level of service AIR Sports Network deliver each time and every week is outstanding, they work with the needs of every individual, the staff inspired me; I hope one day I can inspire someone else myself. AIR Sports Network helped me chase my dreams; I always dreamed of becoming a fitness instructor and my mentor helped me get my Level 1 and 2 Fitness Instructor. I didn’t believe it before, that I could be a fitness instructor, but now I'm really moving in the right direction. I feel like a different person.
I see that I can do more. Most importantly I have a lifestyle that helps me be me and a stronger me..”
