“When I first met AIR Sports Network in Newham I was at real low point in my life, I was taking anti-depressants and was really struggling with the basics of everyday life.
I was smoking everyday, morning till night and spending at least £20 a day on cannabis as well as getting it from other people. I had lost interest in almost everything, all my hobbies were gone and i had stopped doing the things I liked such as dancing. I had surrounded myself with like minded people who also smoked a lot.
I really liked the way the staff at AIR Sports Network spoke to me and treated me from the start, they had a real duty of care and made me feel wanted not a burden on them. I found myself motivated by the support they offered and gave me and with the welcoming and friendly way they worked with me.
I found them trustworthy and willing to do whatever it took to help me. I started off in the physical training sessions and before long my fitness had improved quite a lot, that really helped my confidence and I really felt myself getting into good shape. From there I was referred into two employment agencies for work and started to feel like my old self again, confident with a raised self-belief. Now I’ve just started my diploma in health and social care and have a longer term goal to be a recovery worker. AIR Sports Network really helped me get back my confidence and respect for myself, they helped me with my cannabis problem (which is no longer an issue) and got me started on the path to sorting my life out.
AIR Sports Network are a great organisation, they helped me and they can help you achieve your short or long term goals, they will give you the support you need and the links to get started in whatever you want to do.“
